I know I advised you to do the course because you really wanted to work in Tech..
But my Dear, drop it…
And I’m not mad Mumbi…
It’s because AI is taking over traditional programmers role…
So I cannot see where you’ll work…
Because AI is going to make everyone a programmer.
Yeeees, you heard me right.
Save your Computer Science friends too!
In fact, tell your computer science friends to change course… Before it’s too late..Save them Mumbi!
Of course, this is not how it was supposed to end…
We all looked forward to you finally working as a bit time software developer in Safaricom or Google (or some other big company)…
But Artificial Intelligence is now a big thing…and you’d be a fool not to change plans
So Mumbi, please find it in your heart to forgive me..
PS: We said AI is really disrupting everything- and jobs- and as you can see in the screenshots below, doing computer science and software engineering might now be a bad decision.
Instead, I recommend that- if you have to do these Degrees- you specialize in AI….Take a Bachelors Degree in AI and not pure Computer Science or Software Engineering!
Will AI replace programmers?
Mumbi, the answers is I’m afraid Yes. Especially those who do routine development tasks (entry level) because AI is doing basic coding better than them (Try to use Claude Sonnet 3.5 as your coding assistant and see!)
So Mumbi – together with your friends- I think its better to shift to a pure AI Degree. Urgently!
